You could sit all day lost in thought if time truly allowed for it. Ever pensive, consider taking a brief moment today to come out of your mind and back into your body. Can you feel your feet rooted on the ground? Can you feel your chest rising and falling with your breath? Check in slowly this way until you feel your whole body a little more clearly.There is nothing wrong with seeking the answers, with asking the big questions. I, too, find it to be one of the most alluring uses of our consciousness. But don’t get so lost in philosophical daydreaming that you forget the gift of simply existing in the present moment. Sometimes, that stillness can give us the answers we seek more than relentless thinking.
